if you can get the intake off you, you can take it to yer local machine shop and have them remove it, or drill it and heli-coil it. or you can drill and heli-coil it yer self. it should cost like 30-40 bucks to have the shop do it. good luck!

That's good advice, take it to a machine shop before you ruin the manifold.

x2

Once you break an extractor bit off it is going to take some serious work unless you can get the broken extractor bit out. They are hardened and you will not be able to drill them with a regular bit and hand drill more than likely

Machine shop.

Without a drill press it's going to make drilling and tapping that hole accurately and true straight, really hard.

best bet is the Machine shop, that shouldn't cost a dime more than 40$ At the MOST, then about 20$ at the MOST for a good set of intake gaskets + carb and thermostat gaskets.

if it's a stock, iron intake, go on craigslist and get an aftermarket Al one.
or, use a MAPP torch to heat up the bolt and touch a candle to it. the wax gets in the little cravices. then try to use a punch and hammer to dislodge the extractor and use the left hand drill bit to try and get it loose.
but i wouldn't bother if you can get the intake off do what they^ said.

How far down is it broken?

Take a welder and start layering tac welds ontop of the broken bolt until it above the surface of the manifold. They put a large nut over the built up weld and weld the nut to it. Then take the bolt out. The nice part about this method is the heat from the welding will completely unfreeze the bolt.

That's a cool Idea 🙂 I used to do that to remove broken head bolts from 350 Olds diesels.without pulling the head.

In the future remember that you need to drill the bolt out almost to the threads before trying an "easy out". Drilling a relativly small hole and using a too small "easy out" will break it every time. Begin with a tiny bit and then go up progressivly bigger right up to the threads and then the "easy out' will work as it should.
