New to the forum. I'm in the process of a frame on restoration of a 1978 cutlass(touring car with daily street action).Im adding a set of 245 35 r20" iroc wheels to the project. I've gotta know what yall think about these springs : moog 5662(ride height,stiffness,ect.).My intensions are to maintain a stock ride height (+ or - 1/2"). Im having trouble deciding on what to use on the front and I dont have a clue what to use on the rear.Im hoping to hear from someone with a similar setup or any feed back from anyone running these springs and I also would like to know what your using for the rear. Im also interested in hearing what shocks you are using.

I'll be using those in my wagon, along with 5415 rears.

Both are close to original load rating and installed height for my car, but the rate is much higher. OE front on mine is 420#, the 5662 is 706#...OE rear is 141#, the 5415 are 169#. I'll be using KYB gas-a-just shocks.

I ran the OE HD replacements (420#F/121#R)in my 2 door when I had it, too soft for my taste

Ride quality with the 245/35s will be harsh, stiff springs + no sidewalls.

Do you think i should lighten up on the spring rate a little to compensate. The reason I am considering the 5662 springs is that the new wheels add an extra 63# of unsprung weight to each cornner and Im concerned that the heavier wheels are going to give me trouble on the rebound. I can stand a slightly harsher ride for improved corrnering, and better bump controll but Id rather not have a car that is going to beat me to death on a daily basis.

I have 5662s in my El Camino It's not as harsh as I thought it would be. It rides nice.I have the Cargo coils for a Monte Carlo SS in the rear.Moog #CC651 The ft springs were so much shorter than the stock ones I didn't need a spring compressor.I just jacked up the lower arm and attached the nut, It was kinda nice.
