I have a 79 cutlass I jus got done wit my engine swap went from 260 olds 200c to a 350 sbc th350 I jus fineshed...everything is in and hooked up....I need to know how to extend my wires so my car will work....on olds moters the starter in on opposit side and my battery will have to go to the other side...what would be the best way to go I need my car running asap...if I leave the batt on drivers side the battery cables will reach and I wil have to extend starter wires will this work?? And will everything still be getting power?? And my altanater is on other side of engine and I don't think that wire will reach....I am lost when it comes to wires so please help give me some insight on what I should be doing......and I don't want to buy a painless wire harness...

The battery switches side to side, at least it does in the early 80's, you can run a longer batt. wire though, i did that for a while until i switched the batt. to the correct side. Its better to solder the 2 wires to lengthen them rather than crimp connectors or whatever.

Shoulda put an olds in it
