I finally ready to install a new 350 motor, but I need to buy a flex plate, went to summit a look thru there inventory, but I got stuck on the question where it ask me how many teeth I need? I really don't know which is the correct teeth count. Can some tell which one is the correct one for a 350?

Thanks in advance...

What starter do you have to use ? (inline or offset bolt mounting) They came with both 153 & 168 tooth flex plates depending on use. Most likely it would be the 153 tooth with the inline bolt starter.

I was planning to purchase a mini torque starter with the flex plate. Planning to install header and don't want over heating starter.

What year is the 350?

Your block and starter will make the choice for you. 14" = 168 teeth, usually diagonal bolt holes on the starter pad, usually trucks. 12.75" = 153 teeth, usually parallel bolt holes on the starter pad, usually cars. GM automatics bolt on over either size.

'86 up 350(if it's a 1pce seal crank!) uses neutral balance front, but external balance flexplate... neutral balance 262-350. 400 is different animal altogether. is your crankshaft flange round?

I believe it's a 72.
You have a 2 piece rear main seal block which uses a neutral balance flexplate, as long as the block has the two straight across holes (red and blue) you can use either a 153 tooth or 168 tooth with mini starters that have a dual pattern. I always use the 168 tooth since I feel it gives a little more room accessing torque converter bolts.
