just picked up a bone stock 87 Turbo Regal and I'm looking to tweak the stock set up without spending a million. Any ideas on some simple mods to get this car into the 12's would be greatly appreciated. Not use to inj. and turbo. have heard about chips and the obvious free up the exhaust. Any recommendations on what works best(chips, injectors, down pipes, exhaust, air intake) let me know. Thanks

Down pipe and exhaust would make a huge difference. An intercooler would be good. And just make sure that everything is running top notch. Rear suspension upgrades also :!:

You CANNOT fly in the blind with these first is a scantool. http://WWW.gnttype.org http://WWW.turbobuicks.com. Back in the day I went from 13.9s at 98 to 12.7s at 107 with a scantool. Adjustable fuel pressure regulator, fuel pressure gauge, threaded waste gate rod. Chip. K&N. And a set of soft compound recap. About $500.

This is just my .02, but a chip and/or a tune(maybe?) would be a good way to free up some power.....plus those are simple things to do....

Do EXACTLY what dogshit said!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1. Buy a scan master and hotwire kit.
2. Do spring cleaning http://www.gnttype.org/maint/basics.html
3. Pull chip and see what you have. I personally prefer the TT chips. http://www.turbotweakstore.com/
4. Once car is running right, make sure it stops. If it has a powermaster, make sure it is in good working order with CLEAN brake fluid. If it's not working you can always swap to vacuum brakes easily.
5. Once you are sure it can run well and stop well, get some Alky and turn up the boost and go have some fun!http://www.gbodyparts.com/product_info.php?products_id=469&osCsid=0545b90e8698bc51a16a5ec4d2193cea

There's a ton of things you can do but it all costs money. If you're not prepared to spend while owning a turbo buick you may want to reconsider and go buy a mustang or something... These cars are moneypits! That being said, 12's are relatively easy with these cars.

Good Luck! 8)
