help!!!! what side is the #1 cylinder on sbc 5.7????? this may be a dumb question but I'm sorry I'm getting mixed responses some people say the number one cylinder on the passenger side and some say number one cylinder is on the driver side I really need to know the correct answer guaranteed no if ands or buts about it!!!

Front to back 1,3,5,7 drivers side 2,4,6,8 passender side.

Tell the ford guys to stay away from a chevy. On a ford #1 is passenger.
