hey guys new to the gbody

hey guys im new to the gbody forums and and would just like to introduce my projects. i have 2 regals one is a red 1984 buick regal limited with the 3.8l that has rust along the roof in spots from the front pillars to the rear window. the car starts but is giving me a hard time with the timing wont stay on. The second one i just bought last month its an 87 gray buick regal with a 307 was planning on using as a parts car for the red one but this one seems to be in better cosmetic contion. the problem with this one is that it was hit in the front passenger fender so the i was told that it had frame damage and so the tire sits inward towards the top. the thing i need to know is where to start to figure out how to repair the gray one.pics of the red one are comming any help and advise is greatly appreciated thanks ahead.

Thanks for getting a gbody... I hate seeing them go to waste.. But they are very addicting so you will probably own one for the rest of your life 8)

thanx 84/hurst this is actually my second gbody both are regals though always loved the sleeper capabilities of these cars

Take it to a frame/body shop Frame is rolled some probably no big deal . May be simpler yet . Last one I did took 3 days on frame machine tire was bacl against floor board . Ran drove great after fix


If the car is in good shape that is . Frame swap is no easy do .

hey guys just to post an update i got that tire straight now, will post pics soon. ended up replacing more parts that maybe what was needed. i replaced the upper a-arm lower a-arm strut and splindle but was still cheaper than having it done by a collision place. hopefully that is it for the it to drive straight. now i am going to give her a tune up and work on the pitted rust on the top of the opera windows.

I just recently found my second g body...another 1987 Monte Carlo SS, w/ T-tops...stock for now. Had the same vehicle 5-6 years ago and sold it (DUMB part me!!), regreted it and said if I could find anothe in just as good shape would get it and make this one a KEEPER. Glade to be here guys. :lol:
