As it says in my username, I'd love a G-body wagon. I am working on the SO. Part of the wagon lust/interest is the size of family ... gotta fit the crew.
Since 1984 or so, my family have had stacks of G body cars. My former cars are below, but a few others that I never quite made my own, but were in the family were 1986 Grand Prix with t-Tops and a 305, a hot air turbo regal with a leaky-*ss moon roof, etc.
As the years went on, I got more and more comfortable working on the cars, to the point that I know enough to be dangerous, or even to do some meatball body surgery or some medium-level diagnostics and repair.
What I'd like to do with said wagon is to drop a Buick 350 in it for the torque and ease of the swap, then slowly upgrade it. I know a lot of folks like to go the Chevy route, but after getting ill some years ago, I am all about making life as easy as possible while still having some fun.
I will want to get this bomb up and running fairly quickly, and it may serve a term as a daily driver. What I'd like to do eventually is have it ready as a summer driver, complete with A/C, and do road trips, and maybe even haul a small boat once or twice.
Good to be here, and if anybody can point me to a buick 350 swap how-to, I'd appreciate it.
