Thanks for keeping up this site. I tumbled across it looking for some answers. Was hoping to find an auto-cross enthusiast or 2 hanging around. I plan to build a late 80s G into a track beast. Problem is, I just built an engine over the summer that is an all-iron 350 (too heavy). Thought about building a supercharged 4.3l but here doesn't seem to be much talk about v6s here.

I did, however, run across a weath of other information over the last 2 hours that has been quite helpful. And it's always fun being in the company of other motorheads...especially GM enthusiasts.

Know of anyone auto-xing a G body??

Thanks and may the schwartz be with you

Welcome! I'm a noob to. Nice to meet you. If you don't mind my 2 cents worth, I would take that new 350 put aluminum heads, aluminum intake, holley 4010 carb"aluminum",aluminum electric water pump and mini starter on it and it should way as much as a v6 or less and have a lot more power. Just an opinion. It isn't as expensive as you think. I only have around $4000 in my motor total and thats including my 388 stroker 4 bolt main block. You can get a lot off Ebay cheap.

Wow sweet mo-chine.
Yeah I actually went with RHS vortec heads-they're even heavier than GM. Plenty of weight up front. This motor should be in a short box chevy.
