Hi..I guess as I am asking questions in the Malibu forum I should say hi. I am new to Malibus and look forward to learning lots from the site.

I have two Malibu Classics; a 78 and a 81. The 78 is pretty much completed as a mild street ride with about a 250-275hp 305/TH-350/10 bolt Posi setup. The 81 will be restored to pretty much original status execpt dropping in a stock 305 in place of the tired 267.

I see a couple of people have posted pics so I will post one of each of my Malibus. More pictures can be found at http://jose.tzo.net/Auto/index.html

Thanks all
Ron

why a 305 and not a 350 tho? just curious.
Man I wish I ever owned a gbody as clean as either of those.

Welcome! You have 2 beautiful cars there. You should be proud. They are very clean and classy looking.Looks like you take very good care of them. Keep up the good work. 8)

If my Malibu was that clean, I woulda never sold her! Those a really schweet cars you got. Have fun with them.

thanks but...

the 81 is not so clean and needs a substancial amount of work. I'm trying to get my 14 y.o interested in helping me out. Maybe if I "riced" it and put a PS3 and an LCD in so he could play guitar hero in the garage I might have a chance.

As for the 350, I just want the 81 to be stock so I can run collector plates on it. It saves about 1300/yr in insurance costs. That *might* pay for the gas the 78 uses.

get the Collector's plates 1st, then make Mods after u pass emissions testing. where i live u only have to go to Emissions testing once for the life time of u owning the car. =)
