Believe it or not, I'm actually looking for a muffler on the quiet side. After my engine swap I intend to run either mechanical or electric cut-outs but I'd like to get a very liveable muffler that doesn't drone when I'm driving on the highway. Since I'm using cut-outs I'm not too concerned about performance when it comes to the actual muffler but I don't want them to be too heavy either. I know there are plenty of companies that make performance mufflers but when it comes to regular mufflers I don't know where to start. Any suggestions?

I've installed a pair of Walker universal mufflers on my car years ago. They look, and are shaped like turbo mufflers, but much quieter...and that's what I wanted. The turbo muffs had a drone to them, that's why I went to stock type mufflers...nicer on the highway. The car has headers on it, and still sounds a bit throaty without the raucous.

I got a walker exhaust on my truck. Walker is actually made Dynomax. I had a Inco at one point which is like a knockoff 40 series flowmaster. Then I went to a flowmaster 50 series which really cut back on noise and drone. But my exhaust rotted again so I went all factory walker which came labeled dynomax. The sound at idle is good with no drone or airplane sound(v6 4.3)

magnaflow and done
