Guys, got a 4160 vacuum secondary on my Regal. Wanting to turn it into a dual line vac secondary. I got a double pumper give to me today. I want to use the float bowls (center hung floats) and install 3/8 dual line. In my thought, I can still use the rear 30cc pump but remove the lever. This way it won't leak fuel. This would work right? I didn't want to buy a new REAR float bowl for a vacuum secondary with no provision for 30cc pump assembly.
4160 and 4150 use the same bowl gaskets so the pump discharge hole on the primary side center hung will match up to your metering block and then remove the pump arm on the rear bowl and you will be fine.
Just have to ask....What is wrong with the double pumper? Is it worth a rebuild to put it into service or is the CFM too large/small?
If you are going to do any type of drag racing invest in a set of jet extensions and a notched float for the secondary side. Holley carbs by design will have the fuel wash to the rear of the fuel bowl on the secondary side exposing the main jets. Extensions allow the jets to remain covered with fuel. The notched float is needed to clear the extensions. Otherwise I see no issue with what you intend to do.
Just my $.02
