hey, any X275 racers or anyone running 275 radials on here that could help me out with traction? my car doesn't run in the 8s, but will hopefully go low tens, high nines on spray. i know im gonna have to change some stuff, but heres what i have-

1984 buick regal
Spohn tubular upper and lower control arms (del spheres in lowers, bushings in uppers)
stock V8 springs with comp eng. 3 ways (set at 90/10)
no front sway bar
adj. uppers w/ urethane bushings, rect. tube lowers w/ urethane bushings rear.
stock springs rear
junk shocks rear
stock sway bar GN rear
no hop bars
M/T et street radial 275/60R15
locked GN 10 bolt.

Again, i know the shocks and springs gotta go, as well as the sway bar, what are you guys using? also is it worth it to switch to heim joints for the rear control arms? keep the no hop bars? the setup i have worked ok on the old engine(340 rwhp sbc with th350/3000 stall converter), but the new engine should make 500+rwhp, and is getting a200+hp hit on top(2 stage)
thanks for any insight you guys can give

if you r running the stock brackets for the lower control arms you need to get a bracket extension kit in order to lower the rear control arm mounting point to corect instant center and drive the rear tires into the ground

i have the no-hop bars that raise the mounting location of the upper arms on the rear end(brings the instant center back towards the rear of the car and down lower. I have been thinking of maybe using the relocation brackets you're talking about and taking the no-hop bars off. do you have the lower brackets on your car?

I did it with Edlebrocks double adjustable upper control arms.

Lose the no-hops.

Add an anti-roll bar , weld in or bolt in ( I used the HR parts bar).

Spend money on good double adjustible shocks ( hint set the rear similar to the fronts).

Ran the rear bars in the stock position, seemed to work ok ( look below ).

thanks for your help guys, now the next thing is trick springs with double adjustables up front or coil-overs?they work out to cost about the same amount of money in the end. i would think the coil-overs would be the way to go (QA1s).
