Every Saturday night up here in Sioux Falls, you will find me along with hundreds of other hot rodders down at the local Z'kota's, a newer hangout. These are just a few pics of the many awesome cars that turn out every weekend.

OK, what is that 1st car. I know its not an MGB, at least I don't think so. That grille almost looks italian?

Ah, I'm like "that roof and headlights looks like an MGB" but that grille looks way different....

😀 :friday:

Interesting site. There was a guy here in Tulsa at a car show last summer, with an old TVR with Ford V8 literally shoehorned in there. Like zero-clearance. I bet it's scary. Apart from the fact its Ford powered. :wax:

I hung around with a guy in college who worked at a brit car resto shop. He had a few different MGs over those few years, the last being a roadster with some big 4-banger racing engine or something or other. Lime green with "LAWNBOY" stickered in the windshield. 😀

Yes he also owns a TVR that you speak of. It is a 1966 Griffith with a 289 and he claims it only weighs 1400 pounds??????? I am unsure if the weight is true, but after the talking he has done, I can't wait to hand him his rich a** on the streets this summer. He also owns vintage Ferrari's, Porsche, Sunbeam Tigers (3) and some others. Could you imagine how nice it would be to have his money and how many Chevy's you could buy? 😀

i will definatly be coming up there this summer

It would actually be a MG B-GT because of the solid roof. That grille is a stock MG B piece used in one of the years before they went to the ugly black crash bumpers. There was also a factory V8 version with the British-Leyland/Rover (Buick/Olds) aluminum 215 V8 back in the 70's. It was called the MG B GT V8. It was short lived British market only car, but the engine went on to power many notable B-L cars like the Rover P5 and P6, SD-1 and even the ugly Triumph TR-8. It last saw duty in Land Rovers a few years ago.
