unless you're drag racing you don't need one. just use a vacuum advance hei distributor and you'll be fine.
HEI ignition is a pretty good ignition in stock form. With that engine you posted in your other thread you wont need a box. The only advantage it would give your engine is maybe a rev limiter if you bought one with a rev limiter. If your not high compression or running a drag race engine then I wouldnt worry about it.
High compression, boost or Nitrous. Anything that creates excessive cylinder pressure and can snuff out the flame front in a stock ignition.
