Sorry if there's already an answer somewhere; I can't find it. Just wondering how to remove the factory stereo on my 1987 Cutlass. I don't want to break anything since it's in pristine condition. Do I just pop off the front trim panel with a screwdriver or something? Thanks...

Yea, you just pry off the front cover, just be careful. There will be two screws holding the radio in.

I don't think you even need a screwdriver to pop the trim panel off. After that, two phillips screws, pull the thing out, and unplug the back.

I would also recommend the “pig tail” connector if your installing an aftermarket radio. These connectors are great because you can solder and heat shrink them onto the new radio while sitting in your house. Then just walk outside and pop it into your car in about two mins…
