Well I actually had a day off work today so I decided too tinker around with the cutlass.
I walked out to the garage not know what I wanted to do.
Well I sat there for a bit staring at my car and decided to tighten up things a bit.
So goal number one was to make the engine stop rocking so bad.
Long story short grabbed a support bar off my parts car and cut it down, bent it and bolted it.

Deffinetly helped with the rocking

So then I decided to tighten up the frame a bit.
Took a trip to home depot and bought 72in long 1x1 steel tubing($23)
Well I got home cut it to length and painted it.
Got that installed and decided to make use of the extra tubing I had.
So put 2 more small braces on the.
All in all a fun day no big project just having some fun.
But the turn out was great I took her down some curvy roads and it deffinetly tightened the back end up.
May not be as big of an improvement as buying a rear sway bar but I don't have $150 to spend on one.
Tell me what you guys think.

why is your motor rocking so much that you need to do that ?

In Hot Rodding language, that is called a "torque strap" and it saves the driver's side motor mount from getting ripped up. Replacing the mount, and keeping the strap would be the ticket. As for the rear bar, very nice! I installed a tow hitch which tied the frame rails together just like you did, and it made a huge difference.

Well considering the fact that its on a 231 v6 i wouldn't want to call it a torque strap.
As for the rear bars yea they deffinetly helped.
It was a win win situation because it deffinetly did more good than harm and didn't cost me an arm and a leg.
Just so good ol' hard work.

Even a 4 banger can use one. The benefit is the same, to save the motor mount. I use a short length of chain, just loose enough so it doesn't vibrate the frame at idle.

ive seen alot of people use chains i considered it but decided the bar was alot cleaner.
upon first installment i noticed the frame vibration your talking about.
so then i just took it off and put a bushing from an old skateboard i had under the frame bolt and problem solved.
