Mine to the rear of the car have rusted out, i can see it squirt out when the brakes are applied. how long, and how easy is it to change them from front to back?

i spent 3 night cutting and flaring my own on my 86 ss.if i would have know about inline tube i would have gladley forked over the cash. about to order stainless set for my 84 monte.

Seems every gbody I have worked on the bolts that hold the distribution block into the frame are rusted and end up getting busted. The compression nuts at every joint are always seized now matter how much WD-40, Oxy/Acetaline you use they end up getting hacked. As well the rubber flex line on the axle will likely be seized. Realistically depending on your time and budget you may as well bank on replacing everything from the distribution block back and maybe even the block itself and the front lines.

x2 vote for pre-bent lines from in-line tube. I replaced my lines 2 years ago and paid the extra for Stainless but in hindsight the regular metal tubing would have been fine. I changed everything from the block back right back to each wheel.

Its also a great time to completely flush the brake system. In my car the brake fluid looked like motor oil :blam:

X2 on replacing all lines including the flexible hoses.

I have replaced miles of brake lines over the years, I use cupro nickel tubing, easy to work with and you can buy it by the roll (in the UK at least).
The front to rear pipes are 1/4" id, the rest are 3/16" btw, so you will need two rolls of tube and the correct size flaring tools for the job.

Roger.
