I'm working on a '78 Malibu and my paint scheme calls for blacking out the chrome trim and grille. What's the best way to achieve that effect without having the paint peel? Thanks in advance for the advice.

Sand the old grill and trim down with sand paper. Then paint. Really easy!

Use a red Scotch-Brite pad and scuff up every nook and cranny, clean, and spray.
