Dual straight pipes from manifolds, no crossover pipe, no muffers or cats. Just 2 pipes from manifolds back on a 305 V8. Would that be earth shattering loud even on the idle or just at high RPMs?
Wouldn't sound as good as a proper exhaust. I have had straight pipes all the way back with no cross-over. Now I have Pypes 2.5" system with X pipe and Violator mufflers, it sounds incredible.
Well I can tell you this. When I had my rear end parts installed, they had to cut my factory type single exhaust off before the rear ( I told them they could, because I was driving it straight to the exhaust shop after they were done). So I had a single straight pipe.
ANd it sounded BAD. I was and still am running a completely stock 305.
