Hey guys. Name's Alex and I'm a G body owner again. 8) Short back story on G bodies; I had an 87 Elky in highschool that was used by the local pepsi distributor to go around to grocery stores and set up displays. It had this really weird auxiliary filter for the engine and trans that used a roll of toilet paper  That's the most interesting thing about that poor beast. It went through some changes, engine, trans, wheels, ect. Then it became a donor car to my 80 Malibu V6 car I bought when my wife got transferred to Ohio. First thing I found out about Ohio cars is, don't buy Ohio cars. Seriously, I cut out every floor board, both doors, front fenders, hood, and lower quarters of that heap just to get something to work with. That became a 350/350 Moser 9" caged street strip car that I was forced to sell when we got orders down to Mississippi post Katrina. We weren't even promised base housing there since it all went under water so we had no where to keep a project car. 🙁
Fast forward past 2 mustangs, 2 trans am's, an ls1 S10, a Camaro, and a Z06 corvette; and I'm back in an 81 Malibu. I really wish I could take more credit for this car but the previous owner/builder did all the work. Hell, he frame offed the car 20 years ago including the paint job.   It has been through 3 engine set ups including a SBC, a TPI, and now a stock 98 LS1/T56 with a GN 8.5. So far I've replaced the dated and useless (to the LS1) Cyberdyne gauge cluster with a factory Camaro one, re-dyed the interior from old lady blue grey to black, and am in the process of changing the wheels/stance. Enough talk...Here's some pics. Enjoy. Alex.
