Howdy! My name is Mike. I'm in New Port Richey, FL. I'm the proud owner of an 86 Grand Prix 2+2 Aero Coupe. The odometer just ticked over 74,000 miles, though the title reads exempt. It is all original to my knowledge except for paint, battery, and the alternator I just replaced yesterday. If you've seen one, you've seen em all. But I like to think this one is in better than average condition. One thing has always bothered me, though. There were, and are, kits sold to convert any GP into one of these. Does anyone know the proper VIN code to authenticate it? That would be great! Would let me know, once and for all, whether I overpaid when I bought it. Though I will still love the car, regardless. Thanks! Nice to be part of this forum.

welcome to the site. if all else fails, google it.

Interesting there is one for sale here locally. Guy is asking $7,200. Paint is shot but its not rusted bad and the interior is good.

Welcome aboard Mike.
I like your 2 + 2. The last one I saw was a few years ago and it was at the Zephyrhills swapmeet, auction,. It was going up on the auction block, but don't know what it eventually sold for. They're cool cars and few and far between.
