I'm Russ,
'been working on g bodys for a long time. My first car was an '80 El Camino, I ditched the 3 speed/V6 combo for a 400 hp 383 and an m21. I was 15, I'm 33 now.
I recently came across an interesting project that I thought might be fun.
My cousin has a tow company, he ends up with lots of rigs. There are two in particular that caught my eye.
The first is an '82 (I think) olds wagon that is faded blue and I think was used to haul fire wood. I'm not sure what model and I don't really care. It's based on a Malibu and it isn't rusted out.
The second is a 2wd '94 Suburban with a fuel injected 454 and a 4l80e.
The thought is to make a rat rod style wagon that has a fuel injected big block (you probably saw that coming)
or maybe a suburban with an olds v6 in it ... Okay, probably not
The plan is to do this on a damn near non existent budget using almost entirely parts salvaged from cars headed to the crusher. Thought It might be fun.
I'll post some pics of the donor cars later.
Thought I'd drop in and introduce myself,
-R

Sounds like fun. Good luck and welcome to the site. Keep us posted.
