i have a complete and operational hydro-boost system on my Monte Carlo. the power steering pump, hydro-booster, master cylinder and brake pedal all came off a 84-85 Buick grand national/t-type as long as its a turbo Buick. The Buick setup is a complete bolt in for any Monte. the only thing custom i did was you braided stainless power steering lines, since the Buick ones are too short for a big block.

Do you have any pics how you mounted the P/S pump. I also have a big block in my olds cutlass.I mounted a hyrdo booster from a G/N . My P/S pump started a very loud noise and got Scorching hot. I need to replace the pump I am curious how the G/N pump fit. Thanks for your help

Thanks there was some good info .. I installed a G/n hyrdo booster in my 78 cutlass. After the install My P/S pump started making a very loud noise. I now have to rev my engine to get any assist from the pump 🙁

i have some pics of the hydro-boost setup in my album. i converted my big block to run a serpentine belt system from a s10 Chevy pickup and the stock GN power steering pump fit perfectly in the serpentine bracketry.the pump getting scortching hot and screaming may be due to the power steering hoses being in the wrong location, the supply hose to the booster comming from the return line on the pump, something like that

thanks everybody. I changed out the P/S pump. Everything is up and running perfectly 😀 😀
