Hello crowd. Once again, I need to fall back on your experience.
I have a dilemma on what to do with the weather stripping channels on my 1978 Malibu (sorry, I don't know what would be the proper name for them). These are metal channels which bolt to the body and where you'd glue in the weatherstripping.
They are in good shape, but it takes me forever to scrape off the old rubber from both sides of it. And the biggest challenge is to dig up rubber from inside the side bent parts where the scraper does not fit.
THIS IS THE PICTURE OF THE BENT PART I WAS TALKING ABOUT
And one more question, one side has this plastic piece, and the other does not. Is this the way it suppose to be?
Now, what do I do? Does anyone sell those new? What would be the easiest way to clean them up?
Thank you for any input.
