Greetings:
I'm new to the site, hope to learn a lot!! I have a 78 El Camino project...done a lot already...new 350 I built with a bunch of hard-core parts. I have a problem....not sure if anyone has encountered something like it. I assume I have a problem with the ignition switch. With the switch in the off position, the headlight warning buzzer goes off. By turning the ignition switch on and off, the buzzer will eventually stop. The problem is happening more and more often. Strangely enough, shutting the driver door repeatedly sometimes stops the buzzer also. Wierd, must be a bit of a bump or shock to stop the electrical short or whatever. I don't think it is a problem with the headlight switch. The buzzer seems to operate properly if the lights are left on with the ignition off. Any ideas? If it is the ignition switch, can I get some advice hon how to remove it from a Tilt-wheel column? Thanks! Bill

Bill,
Not 100% sure , but you may be referring to the headlight/key in buzzer . key in ignition, open door buzzer sounds to let you know key is in ignition, same buzzer will sound if headlights are on so you don't walk away with lights on or key in the ignition. your in a world of hurt if you ignore it !!!
Hope this clears it up !!!
