Just so no one else gets burned, there is an eBay seller out of Los Angeles (Norwalk, CA) misrepresenting some other form of inner bucket seat belts as being original and correct for G-bodies:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/82-83-84-85-86- ... true&rt=nc

They are shorter and do not mount in the car correctly, they can be used and will still function but are shorter and mount in the car differently as pictured below.

I recently found this out trying to sell a pair which I happened to purchase many years ago and did not realize until I was "harassed" about no G-body's coming with black interiors in 86-88 which I was under the assumption that Montes did...

L.A.X-RATED seems to know allot about what cars they are from, I suspect the ones pictured could possibly be from a different vehicle as described below since they do not look trimmed, who knows.
Regardless this post is to warn others so as they are not deceived by sellers out there... here are the photos, you be the judge:

well i was waiting for someone to chime in with the RIGHT answer  but since no one has it,i will tell you these are not even from a "gbody"(ONLY 78-81 gbodys offered black as a seat belt cover, and m not 100 on if they even made "black bucket seat reciever "sheathing") i get them are from 87-91 cutlass calais, ninety eights, chevy cavaliers, and lumina's.they fit the 86-88 gbody "male" buckles/connects. ive removed sheathing and "trimmed down"these (topside,as the older 78-85 "metal raw finnished recievers ,are too wide)DAMNIT kevin(od showtime) must be busy,as he is the only knowledgeble individual that i know on this 'interchangebility factor"

Count me in as one of the guys duped... they may work, but its BS to say they are something they are not.... wish I could change my review on him.

Seller is "Montelx88"

Already did as soon as I saw this.

'hassle free returns accepted' in bold @ bottom of listing ... as a fellow e-bayer I'm a bit surprised at your guys nit picking abilities. The seat belts are a fraction of an inch shorter but they are black which is a desirable color... I just don't see what the problem is. It is not like the guy said they were for a 442 or h/o and duped you into buying them... personally I feel the blame is on YOU for not knowing before bidding... duh

Whoa! Take it easy.... regardless of what YOU feel, there is no statement or disclaimer to prospective buyers about these not being what they are claimed to be... looking at them, they sure as hell look like the "correct" ones... they are NOT a fraction of an inch but look a lot more like an inch or so shorter when laid down next to the proper ones... So...when I attempt to install them and see that they are tucked down in between the center console and seat an inch lower than they should be... I'm not going to be very happy now am I? Especially if its a PITA to hold onto it because its too far down in between to put on my seatbelt.

Buyer Beware is a Truthful Statement, however, you cannot physically see/touch/examine things you buy in virtual-land... this is why Feebay/Palpay offer customers an opportunity to return/dispute purchases and to Rate sellers...

If I sold you something that was "close" to the real thing, and said that it was Real, I seriously doubt you'd be very happy... regardless if its a 442, GNX, or a bastardized Monte Carlo built from whatever was handy in the boneyards... Hell, You think I can't find a '88-up wreck with these in New England?... That's why I bought these... because the Seller's False Advertising led me to believe they were G-Body pieces, not something "Close" to the proper ones...

The problem is that the guy is a frikin liar.
I like many restore cars to original, every penny counts.
So what about hassle free returns, why should anyone waste their time and money returning something.
It's not just black ones either...

Anytime you buy from ebay expect to be disappointed. There is a reason most do not post there phone numbers, they don't want you to easily reach them, they hope you will give up first. If ever the point of origin is California you can bet it is a cheap China knock-off so expect it to be less than you expect.

I've bought and sold for many years on Feepay... lots of great NOS bits and nice used pieces... very few issues over the years... these are "used" GM pieces, not repops... so it isn't Chinese crap.... if you read the whole post it might help you understand what the thread and problem are about.
