Howdy all!

For the past 15-20 years I've been using Armor All Multi-Purpose Auto Cleaner & Armorall Low Gloss Protectant. Armor All no longer makes the low gloss protectant and I don't like the greasy "Over shiny" that you get with the normal Armor All protectant. I noticed a lot of you seem to like the Meguirs line of cleaners. If I wanted to replace my Armor All cleaner AND protectant with something better, where should I look? Meguirs? Keeping in mind I don't want something TOO shiny. It can be a two product cleaner/protectant, or, if it works good enough, a one bottle solution.

Thanks!!!!

Russ

For a protectant, Meguiar's Natural Shine is an excellent product, far superior to Armor All IMO. It leaves almost no gloss and a finish that is slippery but not greasy. Another great product, but a bit tougher to find (try NAPA or a boating supply dealer) is 303 Aerospace protectant. Slightly more gloss than Natural Shine, but still more of a satin finish. My favorite All-Purpose Cleaner is Meguiar's APC, but it's only available in a gallon jug from a supplier like Autogeek.net or Meguiar's.com. As for an over-the-counter product, Simple Green, diluted 10:1 is another favorite of mine and is available everywhere. Another OTC product favored by detailers is Zep Citrus, sold by Home Depot. Just pay close attention to dilution ratios, as the stuff is pretty strong out of the jug.

Bill,
Thanks for the insight. That helps a lot. I'll look into the APC and go ahead and get some Natural Shine as well.

Thanks again,
Russ 😀
