I have an 80 malibu wagon. And I am replaceing a couple interior panels that need to be paint matched. Now, my interior is a dark burgundy color vinyl. But looking in SEM paint they have OXBLOOD ( drk claret maroon ) and Dark Burgundy. Does anyone know which would be thr correct color for a 1980 Malibu Wagon? I thought the oxblood was used later on but I'm not 100% sure. What are you thoughts? Please Help!!!!

I think oxblood, or claret is a later interior color. There is a variety of burgundy's available. You may end up having to remove a piece and have it color matched. Unless you're considering changing the interior color entirely.
I'm going with a burgundy color in my interior. I did my tilt column before installing it. The color is pretty nice. I'll post the paint code a little later.

Hey. My Book shows 1980 Malibu trim is code 79 Claret.

There were twored interiors in 1980. Code 74 was dark carmine and code 79 was dark claret. If you look at the color library at TCP Global and go to GM not Chevrolet they have them both listed in the interior page.

1980 Malibu, ElCamino and Malibu classic was offered with six interior colors. Dk. Carmine was offered in 1978 and 1979 Malibu, El Camino and Malibu Classic.
