It's the same stuff you have now, but with a foil backing. I used this stuff in my truck's doors and roof and it did an OK job. It is a bit thin though as compared to the OE GM stuff. I plan on using some more in my Cutlass if I ever get around to finishing it, but want a thicker material. I want to replace my 23 year old crap because over time, it grows mold and starts to smell bad. It's part of what gives off "Old Car Smell". You also should look for a vibration absorber like Dynamat, but not Dynamat unless you have a lot of money. It's very expensive. I used some cheap stuff off Ebay and have mixed feelings about it. It was cheap, but it is peeling in places. I used it to cover over holes in boxed sections of the cab to keep the wind noise echo down, as well as in the roof, cab back and doors.
