I'm looking for rear upper quarter pannels for my 1978 Pontiac Grand Lemans. I found these here on OPG:
http://www.opgi.com/p/interior-trim/15244/126/L240408.html

Even though they're two-pieced, and mine single-pieced, I'm still not 100% sure if they will fit. Does anybody know if the Malibu and Lemans Quarterpanels are interchangeable? I'm asking because sending the parts back is not an option and they're not cheap. Any hint/advice is welcome! Thank you!

This came up a few months ago and I can't recall the outcome...

I have a pair of upper quarter trim from a LeMans in useable condition. With a little TLC you may be able to restore them. I actually have the other piece as well the L shaped one that match these panels.

I have more pics if you're interested shoot me PM and I can send them.

So if you have a 1 piece interior trim panel....you have a 1/2 padded "Landau" roof?

Just looked at pics of his car...looks good....and does have the Landau top. Are the interior quarter trim pieces one piece on those.....like the Cutlass, Grand Prix?

They are 1 piece, probablly "simialar" to other landau models.

Couldnt find a picture of the car here. Where did you find it?

Nevermind...found it. Surprised that a black interior has bad plastic..

I do have these for the Lemans/Grand AM with Landau interior.....

The original interior was red, but the sun killed the plastik parts over time and at the time of restoration, black was the only paint that could preserve the trim. Also, it was a better match for the blue paintjob 😉

I went through my folders and digged up a picture of my panels. you'll see why I need new ones. These here are deteriorated by direct sunlight and time (worse than all the rest together) I even tried to get them into shape again, but beyond hope. the more i touch them, the more they crumble into pieces. Though I was able to repaint the upper one, the pannels are wobbling, crumbling on the backside, and warped...

I didn't know that my kind of vinyl-top was a Landau-Style. Thank you for that piece of information 🙂

I do have these in black. I will be going to my storage unit in a month or so. Let me know if you're intrested..

Unless it came off or was removed, the rear/side windows have "Landau" and a landau insignia on the window, it was gold I think.

A few folks are doing the conversion FROM Landau, TO the hard roof. If anyone has this interior plastic and wants to sell it, chime in. I will sell mine but it wont hurt my feelings if someone sells their unwanted pieces instead.

Are they in a good condition? Any picture of them perhaps? 🙂 I'm really interested. Tell me per PM what you want in return for them 😉 Oh, and if you have by any chance a black middle console for the 1978 lemans with any shifter and or transmission accessories for a th400, offer it as well 🙂 please 🙂 in fact, i'll set up a list of parts i consider buying, as i want my grand lemans to be again as close to stock as possible...

I still have the golden "Landau" with insignia on the side windows. I know some people who got rid of the vinyl roof, but it is something more special on meetings around here in europe, that's why I keep it ^^

Ferret,
They are black, so they are in very good condition. I won't be able to get pictures to you until the third week of October.
I can get you an estimate before then though.

I actually prefer the Landau over non Landau. Why anyone would want to spend half a lifetime removing the top is beond me..
I may have a black console here...will PM you for shipping info
