Hello I figure I should introduce myself. I am new on the forum and thought I would let eveyone know who I am and what I have, not that its to much. I have a 1986 Olds Cutlass Supreme that I overpaid for but that is what it took to save it from the stock car track. A guy had the car for sale in his yard and a stock car racer was trying to come up with the money the owner told me when I stopped to ask about the car. I had cash in hand and more than his asking price so I bought it on the spot. As I said it's a 1986 Olds Cutlass Supreme, it has a sbc in it with a weiland intake and a edelbrock 650 cfm carb. Thats how I bought the car. I just bought a voodoo lunati cam and a 3.73 posi rear end. I want to go back to an olds powerplant so I went out in my yard and found a 350 rocket that runs. I am going to build this motor to exactly what I want but it will be a slow build, Just found out a few weeks ago that my wife and I are expecting our first child! So I will have time to build this motor right since I will only be able to do it piece by piece. One question I have is about ignition, is it worth it to spend the money on an msd or likewise digital ignition box or just run a good HEI distributor? I am open to all suggestions on what I should do to this rocket engine to make it run GOOOOOOD, I do not know much about olds motors. Thanks for reading everyone.
