Hi: vinnyc here - new to the site and hoping to learn a few things from you guys. Anyway I have a 1978 Olds Cutlass notchback that I purchased from the original owner in 1985. Ugly mint green with a black vinyl top and 14" wheels color-coded factory wheels. In 1989 I installed a 350 TPI and 700R4, making all the necessary modifications with wiring, trans cross member, suspension, and exhaust. The body was totally redone, repainted and new vinyl roof installed with 15" factory wheels and a 7.5 3:73 posi rear. Unfortunately, for personal reasons, the car sat (outside) for over 15 years which toally ruined the body, the top, the tires and most of all the mechanics - from gas tank to the engine. However, I recently have ressurected the old girl and all the mechanics have been addressed and it runs phenomenal. However, the body is in very bad shape. I either need a donor car into which I can install my drive train or from which I can salvage rear quarter panels that can be pieced into the "sail" panel under the vinyl roof. does anyone have any leads for one of these cars??????????????????????????????
