It's a craigslist deal.1985 Olds 442 80k 8.5 rear end non posi with 3.73 gears. I offered $450 he replied with can't take a loss & said $600 is what he payed. My best offer went to $500 cash & I'm waiting to hear back from him, he seems firm on 600. I plan to add posi to it as well so add another $400 to that is around the $900 range

600$ is a good deal if it works. That's just my opinion though, cuz I can't even find them around here

$600 is the high side for non-posi. They typically go for $400-$600 non-posi and $800-$1000 for posi. If you want it buy it, but it's not a steal.

It runs fine and I just got off the phone with the guy after a nice 20 min convo. He's a real G-Body guy and after all the talk we worked out a deal at $500 cash for the complete rearend. Tonight I'll be having a drink for sure and tomorrow I'll be pickin up my 8.5
