Okay, so I found a 7.5 posi w/ 3.73... The guy says that he had it in his race car that had a supercharged 550hp 355 and he blew it. He told me he later rebuilt it cause he had to get the car moving, but upgraded to something better so he wants to sell it... Now, my question is should I buy this for $250 or just save for something better... I'm running a stock sbc 305 w/ a 700r4 and 7.5 non-posi and I think it was 2.44 gears which is driving me crazy...I feel like the thing is going to grenade on me any second..now i would like to get this for now, being that it's a 7.5 and I won't have to cut my driveshaft again. Also how can I tell if its really a 3.73 with out opening it?...I'm if i spin the yoke one full rotation, the axle will make about three and 3/4 rotation.
Thanks in advance,
Brian

And yes my writing sucks. =/

Yes that is a good deal, so lond as your not going to build a serious street motor and run slicks on it.as far as the gear ratio--you answered your own question......sure sounds like 3:73 to me...JMO

Then I'm gonna go look at it later if it checks out I think I'm going to take it. If I do get it ill take it and install it tomorrow, then I'll just save till it blows or I save for a quicktime for 9" disassembled with a rebuild kit and adjustable uppers and lowers for $1200

You will be impressed with that big jump up in the gears.Good luck 🙂

I'm thinking you might have that backwards. Spin the wheel and count how many times the yoke spins.
