i finally got the 85 fired up. after sitting there for over 2 years i finally got it started.

this car has given me fits over this no start issue. it started after our deck was built. i tried to jump it to move it back into the driveway and it had no power and that was with another car trying to jump it and the battery wasnt exactly drained, just didnt have the power to start the car. odd.

one 60 dollar battery and it fired up. it took 4 tries and the negative ground got a smidge hot but it fired up and ran. made sure the fan came on too.

i'm so glad i got it going again. so i need to get bucket seats for it now cuz the bench seats have had it. they are worn out and have no cushion.

hmm you could buy a battery tender and electric fuel pump then you'd have no more start worries if it sat for a while

i once used seats from a 92 cavalier i believe it was in my 82 GP. i switched out the tracks and it bolted right in.

i think i'll look for some from a firebird if i cant find some g-body buckets. i might just have better luck finding f-body buckets anyway since thats all they used in the 3rd gen f-body AFAIK.

i need to change the oil and clean the engine, i changed the valve cover gaskets some time ago as it was smoking bad and its still smoking but not so much so i need some engine degreaser to make it stop for good.

A Cavalier? Hmm... Well, I guess it would work since they are all GM products. But yeah, I would probably get some from a Camaro/Firebird aswell. I will be scouring the Junkyards next month for parts, Who knows, Maybe I will find a Camaro with a fully built 350 making 1,000HP for $300!!! Maybe in my dreams.. lol.
