Got my fresh 468 fired up today..FINALLY>I rebuilt this motor over the winter,then picked up the Monte Carlo back in May.I had it rigged up enough to hear it start today.No radiator or pulleys,but I did have water in the block.Can't wait to get it finished.

Thanks! that's my tubbed 65 ChevyII Wagon.It has a pump gas 468 in it too.It runs mid 11's on motor,and 9.90's & 9.80's on a 275 jetted Big Shot plate.That car really picks up on nitrous.I'm hoping this monte carlo runs low 11's or even high 10's on motor,but I doubt if it goes in the 9's on spray,but I'll find out later this summer.Right now $$money$$ is holding me up finishing the monte.I want to notch the rear frame rails & possibly mini tub it.I've got a chevelle 12 bolt to cut down.I'd like to make it the factory width of the 7.5" rear that's in it right now.I've got a 78 malibu wagon that belonged to my sister for sale.She passed away a year ago from cancer.She gave me her vehicles before she passed.She knew she wasn't going to make it this time.It was a 9 year battle with breast cancer,and it spread to many places in the last year of her life.I miss her terribly!!She was only 41!She loved cars & going to the track with me & to car cruises in her Wagon.Someone turned it in to a 2 door delivery.It's not a bad looking car at all,but I'd like to sell it to help fund this monte carlo project.

yep,the street is where they all get built.I've been building my cars there since 1980! I tubbed the Wagon out there too.The frame in my wagon had been in a 65 two door chevyII.I trimmed it to fit my car & put a new S&W 10 point cage in it.I build the motors in my shed,build have set up rears & rebuilt power glides right out front of the house.I use my pickup truck or wagon aa a work bench..LOL!
