Does anybody have a picture of a properly installed trunk jack for '83-87 models? I think mine is installed correctly.. The stamped steel clamp that fits on the aft threaded rod - I believe it is meant to cradle the J hook of the tire iron. I'm not sure what is supposed to constrain the flat blade pry bar tip of the tire iron. My car is an 84. When I took it apart and used it today I could have sworn I'd remember how it went back together but it took me 15 minutes of fumbling to get a secure clamp down, and I added a wire tie to keep the tire iron from moving.

Been having a hell of a time adjusting my rear drums. Last night one was hot as hell after a highway run. Took the drums apart and greased the backing plates, and backed off the one that was getting hot. Did a bunch of heavy braking and burnouts around the neighborhood and now my calibrated finger tells me I backed that one adjuster off too much. I'll try to move it forward a few clicks through the backing plate tomorrow.
