This car is so cool looking ( at least to me) that I had to post it. It's a 1971 Nissan Skyline GTR. Why the new GTR couldn't look this good I don't know. Sure it would get owned by many an American car of the era in a straight line drag race, but the chassis was worlds better in the corners.

I found it on http://bringatrailer.com/2008/09/15/rare-in-the-usa-jdm-1972-nissan-skyline-gt/#more-1191. It's for sale on Ebay for almost $40k, so no, I won't be buying one anytime soon ( or likely ever). If I did though, I would fit it with the R34 Skyline GTR drivetrain in it and have the best of both worlds. I'd also kill the fender mount mirrors and put them on the doors.

Like I have always thought, Datsun/Nissan made the best Japanese cars of the Musclecar era. Skyline, PL510, 240Z. I mean, think about the competition and you only get sporadic goodness. Honda S600, Toyota 2000GT, Mazda Cosmo and later, the RX2/3.

skyline's are god. i haven't really seen a bad looking one yet

The R31's are not pretty, nor are the models that came right after this one ( this is the C10 chassis).
