Jeep lower steering shaft

I have been told that you can put a lower steering shaft of of a jeep on a g body. Does anyone out there know if this has any downsides? It is supposed to give extra room for headers. Is this a good move?

I remember seeing on a post here. I am not sure what exactly it was about. I dont think it was a bolt in, I think they used the Jeep u-joint from the steering shaft and made a bracket to move the steering shaft out of the way of the headers.
