I wanted to finish off the interior panels in my wagon on Saturday. As I was putting in the kick panels I realized I didnt have the clips that hold them tight to the metal. Im sure I have them in my garage but since I didnt know what they looked like I figured it would be easier to hit the local yard to see if I could find a set. I looked through almost every car and found 3 of them. I needed 2 and I now have a spare.
Yesterday I had to respray the right side outer kick panel. Guess I forgot to do the outer one when I was doing all the interior parts. I also noticed the thin piece of trim that goes from the kick panel to the A pillar on the left side had a broken tab where it screws to the jamb.
Today I ran out to the same yard to find one of those pieces. The Cutlass sedan that I got my seat and B pillars out of still has a few bits and pieces left inside. I was able to pull the piece out even though the dash was still in it. It was a pain in the butt but I got it out without busting the crap out of it.
But now the good part. The yard has a Cutlass sedan buried in the back. The car that I was able to get the black seat belts out of for Jim.
I stuck my head in to see if there was anything I could use today. The kick panel on the right side was a thinner one piece panel for no ECM ! I had a smile on my face the whole way home !!!!
Im getting ready to clean it up so I can spray it later today !
