been noticing around town here some super clean cuttys and even a 442 but the owners have been a 70+ year ould man and like 80 yr old women. the 442 looked like it just rolled of the show room flore with chrome ralleys. some one help me understand the madness

When they retired, they bought the car new, and kept it, garaged. That was my plan too, but Pontiac was ditched before I could.

Olds were the most reliable of GM's cars back then. You didn't have to worry about flat cams or a cloud of blue smoke behind you. Remember, that old man probably had a 442 back in the 60's and probably wanted that feeling of ruling the streets again.

...but then realized 180 hp wasn't going to give him that feeling again!

the 442 was a lil ole lady all hunched backed and coke bottle glasses the kind that scare the chit out of ya when ya see them driving

She probably liked the look of the car. One guy said his Aunt bought a newer Monte SS because it had big doors 😀 .
