Just found this site looking for some Malibu stuff. Im currently looking for a 78-83 Chevy Malibu wagon to build as a street/strip car, pro street if you will. My brother and I have a challenge going, he thinks he can build a badder small block then I can build a big block  He has a Monte Carlo, so I have to find a G body so we both have similar cars as far as wheel base and weight. I have never built a Malibu before so I may have some questions, I own a 4x4 shop so fab work and the like are no problem. I plan on narrowing the frame, building a 9" (or maybe even a dana 60) and 4 linking the rear. It will have a huge big block, and a turbo 400 trans.

Welcome!

Same here im a new user im a regular on turbobuick.com i have a stock 87 gn and a 84 regal t top with a 355 chevy 350 trans and gn rear..work in progress .....

welcome all and we do live in a world of big cubic inch sbc's so I say who ever has the deepest pockets will win lol

Welcome! and that is very very true your only as fast as your wallet will allow lol... 😀

That's very true. Although, there are exceptions to the rule. My bro is planning on buying a 200HP crate motor and it will cost him about $2000 in the end. I on the other hand an building my own motor. I payed $75 for it and so far have $1000 in parts. That's not even half of what I will need, but considering I started with 400HP, I think Im gonna come out on top ether way. I could have just used my $75 400HP big block as it was, but I thought sense it was just sitting in the garage waiting on the car to show up I might as well make more power!

The first time I take him for a ride in it he's gonna :puke: He's never drag raced before, and has never been over 90MPH  He's gonna be pinned in the seat so hard he's gonna cry!
