i bought an 80-82 pontiac lemans shell thinking i could transfer all my malibu parts to it but its dufferent and wont work for me. looking to sell it for 500, or trade for a dent and rust free 2door malibu shell. 78-81 text kelly at 9032674522 models

Just curious, what parts from the Malibu have you found that won't fit?
Did you buy the shell from someone in Texas named Jeff?

i bought if in texas from a guy named dave i think. the back side windows wont fit, tail lights, the corner pieces on the back of the shell, thts on top of the tail lights. thats all i have tried

i got it from james bardin. if i can trade it for a good malibu shell i guess ill cut the quarters off and use on my malibu. id hat to do that tho because this shell is really good and someone spent alot of time on gettin it ready for paint.

That could happen easy enough. It could be even easier than a swap..

I'd caution you, Kelly on using the Lemans 1/4 panels on the Malibu, as the wheel opening is different. The wheel molding wouldn't fit so if you used a Malibu front clip, the trim wouldn't match.
I think you've ID'd about all of the differences between the two cars now.
The front clip, frame, deck lid, doors, interior (except for rear plastic which is harder to find than the Malibu plastic) front and back glass....should all interchange.
I thought the bumper and tail lights would also interchange, but I'm not sure.

I just thought it looked a lot like the shell on this resoration in TX (80 Grand Am)
I was hoping he didn't abandon the project..

that could have been it. im not sure but i sold the lemans shell. im rounding up stuff i need for my malibu build. ill either buy a good shell when i find one or ill buy replacement quarters when i find them
