I have a 85 cutlass with a chevy 305 and a 350 lock up trans my old torque converter went out 😢 and i had to replace it...so i got one from a friend and installed it idk what it came out of i just know i needed one so after installation was complete every thing and bolted down the car wouldn't move period what should i do???????? :?: :?: :?:

Take it out and go to a junkyard and get one that works. If you didnt know what it was out of why would you put it in the car

Are you sure your trans is a TH350C? The normal TH350 converter will NOT fit. Only a TH250C or TH350C converter will work. Where are you at? I have a TH350C 2500 stall converter I will sell for next to nothing.

Was the transmission serviced at the time of the converter replacement? Usually when a converter dies, it is a messy affair that fouls the transmission and cooler. What were the converter symptoms before?

Sure the fluid level is correct? Are you sure that you remembered to bolt the converter back up to the flexplate? If so, you should also verify that the transmission pump is working. Easiest way is to pull the dipstick with the engine OFF and note the fluid level. It should read high. Then start the car and check it again in Park. If the pump is working, the level should drop on the stick.
