Why is the old man propositioning the young man? I get that old/young relationships is a thing... but, was the car the catalyst for their attraction?

Oh, I got it. I simply didn't appreciate the misogynistic tone/inference. So I turned it around on anyone who took pleasure in its accepted context in a non-judgemental and inclusive fashion.
Here we go... Mike, the ONLY tone/inference is the stated one. The Father liked that the young man drove a Cutlass so much, that he wouldn't mind if he got his daughter pregnant, and married her. Geez...
I didn't see marriage mentioned. Does anyone else? Is a panel missing or are we to draw the classically acceptable "honourable" conclusion? Feels like a reach.
