Okay, I've decided to change out the wheels and tires on my '80 Cutlass.... I was looking at Cragar SS's I love the way they look.... here's my question what size wheels do I need to fit my tires, and what back spacing should I get? I don't really want them to stick out past the fender lip...

Here's the tires I have....

Fronts-BFG Radial T/A P215/65R15
Rears-BFG Radial T/A P245/60R15

I've got a set of American Racing Outlaws and I'm tired of 'em, and I saw a Regal the other day with Cragars and it looked sweet as hell.... So now I want some...

To fit those tires, I'd say 15x8 rear and 15x7 front ll with a 4" backspace.

Very Cool, time to order me up some Cragars... Now I just need to convince my friend my Outlaws would look great on his Camaro.... That shouldn't be to hard.

If you are talking about the Cragar ss's I hate to be the one to tell you this but the only 15x8 one they sell that will be close to fitting will have a 2.5" backspacing which is the reverse offset wheel. The other 15x8 has a 4.125" backspacing which won't fit, will come to close to the frame. The 2.5" bs wheel will stick out some. Like an inch or so. THe 15x 7's are the same with a 4.125" b/s. 15x8's with 3.5" b/s fits the rear perfectly and 15x7 with 4" b/s fits the front perectly. I have weld prostars on mine with those dimensions ans it looks great. I am running 225/70's on the front with 255/60s on the rear.

Thanks for that, I actually switched up my ideas for wheels...

I called up True Spoke and ordered a set of 15x6's in a cross lace pattern... I can't remember the back space now but they lady on the phone recomended it and my tire guy agreed.... I just can't remember it now... $1,500 plus shippin'.... a couple weeks to build 'em, and then another $800.00 for a set of BFG Pin Stripe whites.....

I totally just bought wheels I can't roll on until spring! damn....

I'm still eyeballin' Cragars though, I like how a set of wheels n' tires can totally change the look of a car.

Tell me about it. My car looked like total sh*t with the factory wheels but looked great with the prostars.

Haha, yeah I still have my stock Ralley wheels... I put 'em on the other day... Nope. Took 'em back off and put my Centerlines back on... I think the spokes are gonna look sweet though...

Wow, that must make my wheels seem pretty boring lol.

I dunno, from what I can see in your pic looks like steelies and dog dish caps... I like 'em...
