I'm on the hunt for a shop/mechanic that is familiar with olds motor installs. Im just dropping olds 350 motor in for 307. I've done swaps before with family help but always cut corners to complete. looking to get install completed properly at a reasonable rate.
Let me know any guys that are in MD/NJ/DE/PA. Thanx.

How close to erie are you?

Keeping stock exhaust manifolds and front accessories? Going with non computer carb and distributor?

Not that hard of a swap at all, i swapped from a 3.8 in the driveway and it was easy.

Same swap here....although it was far from "Easy"...lol....some of us are a bit less brilliant when it comes to a motor swap..lol

Erie, PA is bout 8 hrs away from me. Yes, whatever is easier with swap in all aspects is way i am going.

Swapping a 307 olds for a 350 olds is just as simple as swapping a 305 Chevy for a 350 Chevy... The mounts are the same and the wires are the same. Just unbolt the engine that is in there, label the wires you unplug so you plug them back in the right place if you don't have good enough memory to do it without writing it down. Then lift the old engine out and lower the new one in... It's a piece of cake. It's even easier if you delete the CCC Carb and Distributor if your state allows. Really all you need to do is remember where the starter wires go, the ground wire, tachometer, distributor power wire, and alternator wires go. I might be forgetting something... But seriously, guys named Bubba from Alabama that didn't even go to elementary school can pull this swap off,so don't be scared of it. All this swap takes is time and getting your hands dirty.

I'd do it for you in a couple hours if you can wait for warmer weather and bring an engine hoist.

Kornball426,Thanx for the motivation. I am going to DMV before I do swap so I can get car tagged antique and not have to worry about getting it inspected no more which will allow me to cut the corners of distributer and CCC which will make install easy. I would like to get install done in winter so spring I can take on other work needed and get ready for summer.

Everyone is saying its an easy swap and you made it sound easy. My only motor install was placing a 3.8 buick motor and 200c into cutlass that was a roller that was set up for chevy 350 and it took alot of work and alot of suprises. I just aint want to go take on issues and cut corners with my baby 442 so I was seeking pro help.
