Hello all,
Well, about a year ago I missed picking up a 2+2 by an hour, and after all that time and some misadventures, I need to find a car. We moved out to the sticks of NW Kentucky and my job is going to be giving me a promotion that will keep me busy for at least 50 hours a week, so I need to get a second car. I have looked on Craigslist and E-Bay, and found GPs for all sorts of different prices, and honestly, I have no idea what I should be paying for what I need / want. So I'm hoping that the Gurus here can help me figure it out. I'm looking for a solid running 84 with a floor shifter that isn't rusted to hell. The interior isn't important, nor is any cosmetic issues the car may have. I'd like T-tops and power windows & locks. But these aren't mandatory.
I am looking specifically for a project car that I can drive around. What would you guys expect to pay for something in this condition? Baring that, what should I expect in the $1,500 to $2,500 range ?
Any advice, suggestions or information of any kind would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
mike
