Looking for some info

Hey all...

I have a 87 GP LE all stock but a 160 thermo and Accel Cap/Rotor/Wireset. I am in serious need of a carb rebuild or replacement. My bigest thing is that I want to keep the car as close to stock as possiable. With the 87 being a computer controled car, I have been unable to find an aftermarket carb for replacement. If anyone has any sugestions please let me know.

You'll have to get the factory carb rebuilt or find a good used replacement.

Otherwise you'll be replacing the distributor and the carb.

that thermostat is probably hurting your performance and gas mileage. It may make no difference at all, but if it does make a difference, It's not an improvement. Before you rebuild the carb, put a normal 195 or whatever the manufacturer called for and see if that helps.

make sure to richen up the secondary metering rods, that really woke my g.p. up when i had the stock 305 in it
